SUMMARY:ILCA Performance Summer Camp - (Valencia) A
DESCRIPTION:Pre-Clinic Entry Experience\nThe focus of this Performance Summer Camp is set up to provide a platform for sailors who have been active in their national youth sailing circuits or Optimists sailors who would like to make the transition to the ILCA Dinghy. Alternatively\, for talented club sailors aged 15 and over. \nWhat’s involved\nThe Performance Summer Camp is designed to help improve boat preparation with the most recent developments in the class\, sail settings and advanced boat handling skills\, including roll-tacking\, roll-gybing and mark roundings. This Summer Camp will look hard at developing both Upwind and Downwind speed with extensive use of video analysis. \nSailCoach believes strongly in the multi-national training concept\, which we developed many years back. Therefore\, this Summer Camp of hard training will give sailors the opportunity to push themselves hard against competitors from other countries.
 It will also provide young sailors with the opportunity to be coached by the most experienced ILCA coaches available\, including coaches who have been members of the Team SailCoach squad at different Olympics. \nThe clinic’s daily schedule will combine classroom lessons with on the water exercises offering healthy competition and is followed up with debriefing of tactical and strategy situations. Sailors will receive individual attention both on the water and with video analysis. \nA typical day\nThe day will start with a physical training warm-up session\, sometimes before breakfast and sometimes after. Our strength and conditioning coach will conduct these physical training sessions\, with care being taken that the exercises are suitable for that age group and to ensure the safety of the sailors taking part in the sessions. This will be followed by a briefing on what the coach plans for the days sailing sessions\, pointing out the areas where the coach intends to focus\, taking into consideration the prevailing weather conditions. \nDepending on the venue and the weather forecast\, the coach may decide to run one longer session instead of two shorter sessions. \nThe S&C coach will then take control of the group again after sailing\, running a cool-down session which sometimes involves an ice bath or swim. Again\, depending on the venue\, there will be a debrief on the days activities either before or after dinner. There will be some time set aside in the evening to relax before bed… the next day\, it starts all over again! \nProgram:\n\n15th July 2025: (arrival day)\nArrive into Valencia Airport (VLC) between 08:00 hrs and 22:00 hrs and be met by one of SailCoach’s friendly staff. They will take you to the Reial Club Nàutic de València\, the venue for this ILCA Half-Term Clinic. \n16 to 24th July 2025:\nThe ILCA 4 and 6 Performance Summer Camp daily schedule will start each morning with a group briefing at 10:00hrs in the Reial Club Nàutic de València and finish at 17:30hrs. \n25th July 2025: (departure day)\nSailCoach staff will drop you off at Valencia Airport between 08:00 hrs and 22:00 hrs for your journey home after some quality training. \nWe Take Our Responsibilities Seriously \n• All our coaches are qualified and are CRB cleared for child safety\n• Each clinic will have a nominated child welfare officer on site \nWe hope the above will maximize enjoyment and progression whilst balancing the need to have as much time on the water training. \nSailCoach hopes you’ll be as excited as we are about this ILCA 4 and ILCA 6 Performance Summer Camp. You will meet people from around the world who\, like you\, are “mad about sailing” and will become life-long friends in our sport.

DESCRIPTION:Introducing the Optimist High-Performance Summer Clinics\, a unique opportunity for young sailors in full-time education to maximise their sailing potential during the summer school holidays. \nOverview:\nJoin SailCoach’s Optimist High-Performance Clinic\, specially designed to provide quality sailing time for Optimist sailors during the summer school holidays. Led by experienced coaches renowned for their ability to inspire and prepare young sailors\, this clinic takes place at our Valencia SailBase\, offering optimal sailing conditions year-round. With top of the range Winner Optimists and specialised coaching\, participants will gain valuable hours on the water to enhance their speed and sailing techniques. \nObjectives:\nWe understand that high performance comes from dedicated hours on the water. Our clinic aims to provide precisely that\, with expert coaches guiding sailors to become smarter and faster Optimist sailors. Through on the water drills to improve boat handling\, focused racing training to enhance race strategy\, video analysis with targeted feedback\, and engaging learning experiences\, we’ll equip participants with the skills and knowledge to excel. \nLead Coach\nWe’ve partnered with Pavlo Dontsov\, a renowned Optimist coach widely recognised for his coaching expertise. He won the prestigious 2023 Seamaster Award at the Düsseldorf Boat Show for outstanding work with his Ukraine Optimist sailors.\n\nPavlo is an Optimist coach from Ukraine living in Valencia and was the coach of last year’s top sailor\, Sviatoslav Madonich. Under Pavlo’s guidance\, his team has achieved top podium finishes in the most important international Optimist regattas. \n\nPre-Entry Experience:\nThis clinic is tailored for boys and girls aged 8 to 15 who have been racing for at least two years and are ready to embark on international competition or enhance their sailing skills for success on their national circuit. \nProgram: July 16th – 20th\, 2025 \nEach day begins with a group briefing at 10:00 a.m. at the Real Club Nàutic de València dinghy sailing base. Sailors will then enjoy a full day of training activities until 5:30 p.m. The specific training content may vary depending on weather conditions and the coach\, but we assure you that each day will be packed with valuable learning experiences. \nBooking Information:\nTo participate in the Optimist High-Performance Summer Clinic at our Valencia SailBase\, located at the Real Club Nàutic de València\, from the 16th of July to the 20th of July 2025\, we offer a comprehensive package price.
